Wow, this year is flying by…

What a great summer for Northern Ireland golf, with Rory McIlroy winning the US Open in stunning fashion, and the people’s choice, Darren Clark, finally securing his life long dream in winning the Claret Jug.

Speak of, we recently returned from another very successful escorted tour to Northern Ireland. The weather was great and the golf was fantastic, which inclued Royal Portrush and Royal County Down.  The highlight of the trip, however was a hole in 1, by Linda Brandenberg on the 6th Hole at Portstewart… Congrats again Linda! Stay tuned for our next escorted trip, rumors are swirling about possbily England’s Golf Coast or The Costa Del Sol, Spain.

We have some exciting things going on for next year. First and foremost our Navy Vs Notre Dame game golf package. Yes Notre Dame and Navy are playing footbally on Saturday 1st September 2012 in Dublin, Ireland. Britannia Golf can arrange for you to go to the game with a club level ticket and also experience some great links golf in Ireland, including world #5 Royal County Down. It’s also the perfect time to starting thinking about your golf vacation to Scotland for next summer. Advanced application requests for The Old Course, start on the 7th September and tee times for Muirfield are still available.

Last but not least the dates have been released for next year’s Arctic Open, in Akureyri, Iceland. It will be held the 28th – 30th June 2012. Call us for more information on playing in this unique event on the world’s most northern 18 course, where the sun never sets….
